Jan. 2016 Prayer Requests and Update

Greetings once more from Freetown, Sierra Leone (West Africa). Trusting all is well with you and yours. In 1 Thessalonians 5; 17, the bible encourages us to pray without ceasing. Be assured that your prayers mean so much to us; especially as we face so many challenges in the continent.  I would be so grateful if you could lift to the throne of grace the following prayer needs.
 1. I have been invited to join 16 other Africa denominational leaders to an African Strategic Discipleship conference in Addis Abba, Ethiopia. It commences on the 6th–15th February, 2016. It is a clear fact that the church in Africa is growing so fast, yet not deeply ROOTED. I would be representing the Wesleyan Church and the nation of Sierra Leone. Please, pray for God’s leading and meaningful time, as we interact and share common burdens. Pray also for a true spirit of DISCIPLE MAKING in the African Church.
 2. VOCATIONAL SCHOOL BUILDING: The school is in serious need of a permanent building of it’s own. Annual rent expires in April, 2016. The expectation is that the Land Lord of the building would increase the prize, and ti would be difficult for us to pay.  The present building is getting smaller for the student population. Learning condition is not too favorable. Furthermore, the government is expecting to give full recognition when the school have a permanent building. Please, pray for this timely need. Pray for that the good Lord would provid funding to have FOUR classrooms for the various departments (hairdressing, tailoring, catering and arts and crafts), toilet and office space. God has already blessed us with a beautiful piece of land for school construction.
3. PASTORS WIFE RETREAT: The Wesleyan Church of Sierra Leone would be observing an annual Pastors wife retreat on the 17th-21st February, 2016. Some two hundred Pastors wife would be coming together for reunion, prayers and discussion time. Sad to say that many homes of Pastors are falling apart in the nation. It is a serious concern.  This is a timely meeting. Please, PRAY especially for my wife, Mrs Adama Viola Fornah, who serves as President for Women’s Department in the Wesleyan Church of Sierra Leone. PRAY for protection on the road as she moves all over to plan for this great meeting. Pray also for a new wave of revival, zeal, motivation and encouragement in the homes of Pastors. PRAY for God’s financial provision for all of the wives who need to travel to the Northern region of Kamakwie.
THANKS so much for your prayers and concern. If you need any further clarification, please feel free to contact me. We are also fully LIFTING YOU to the throne of grace and Love. Keep in touch.
Please, find attached of girls in training and rented school building!
Yours for the Sierra Leonean Harvest,
 Warren and Adama Viola Fornah.

Happy New Year Praying friends!  Praise the Lord the December 24th Christmas rice and food donation to teachers and girls in the skills vocational school was a blessing to all.  The school currently has fifty students and ten teachers. Every teacher received a bag of rice. The Proprietress (Mrs Adama Fornah) and other teachers distributed parcels of rice, cooking oil, Maggi, salt and onions to all students and staff. It was a memorable occasion. Additional pictures have been posted on the Picture page of this site.
Most of the girls are single parents. Many more are coming from Muslim backgrounds, and mainly battered. The school focuses on giving SPIRITUAL, SOCIAL and MORAL transformation. Praise God! this is happening. The school is on short break, to resume on the 4th of January, 2016.
Great things things taking place because we have loving people like you, who pray and give!  Please, continue to pray for the spiritual and moral transformation in all of the girls.
Please pray that the Lord would continue to provide all of their domestic needs and scholarship  to keep them in training.
Thank you for your patience with the online donation system.  We pray it will be up and running early this new year 2016.  However, if you would like to donate, you can still do so by contacting me through replying to this post.
THANK you for your prayers and partnership for they are giving hope, DIGNITY and VALUE to these vulnerable girls.  Have a blessed New Year in the Lord!
  Till He comes!
Yours for the Sierra Leone-an Harvest,
 Rev Warren and Adama.
